“As surely as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.”           Matthew 25:40

Today, in honor of Dr Martin Luther King, who was so passionate about humanitarian service, we’re having our first annual “Feed the Kids” project. It will happen right on campus; we’re bringing it to you!! Taken from Matthew 25:40, “Chapter 25” (which we also work with for Project Impact) is an organization here in Lincoln that, among other things, prepares prepackaged meals for orphanages and famine-stricken areas around the world where children are dying for lack of nutritional needs. They’re bringing their whole set up for us to put together, assembly-line style, as many of these food packages as we can in 2 hours. If you signed up with your Campus Ministries’ liaison, come to the Atrium today from 1:00-3:00 (brunch will be from 10-11:30, so go eat and then come and help prepare food for those who may NOT eat unless we provide it.) My dream is that each academic division provides a team of students and faculty/staff (6-8 would be ideal) and we see who can pack the most and best bags of food. Contact your division liaison or show up and find your liaison when you get there if you want to join us for this, yet another, opportunity to “do something for someone who cannot pay you back.”

Join us as we honor the passion for service of Dr King.
