Good morning, Industrious People!
We have had quite a week. I am exhausted, and it's okay to accept that because Sabbath is here. For those of the Union family that may not be acquainted with the Sabbath, imagine Christmas but every Sabbath starting from Friday evening to Sabbath evening. Sabbath is an intentional inhalation of rest from Abba-Father to us. Speaking of Abba-Father, I have a thought I want you to ponder. I am always on the lookout for paradigm shifts. Here is one that has radically changed my perspective on reading the Word. In the beginning, God spoke into existence beauty and goodness. At the end of each day, He said, "Oh, that's good," with a grin of joy. God spoke, and life appeared. So, if the Bible associates God's words as life, then it stands to reason that every time we read God's Word (the Bible), He brings life into our hearts, minds, and souls. God's word in Genesis brought into existence the natural world we see, so God's Word brings spiritual life to us because God's Word became flesh, and we know Him to be Jesus. In other words, every text in Scripture points to the beauty that is Jesus. It is Jesus that said, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10). God's Word brings life, friends. Delve into it, and don't be surprised when the Word brings life to the dead parts of your heart, mind, and soul.
