“I have been crucified with Christ…” Galatians 2:20
OK, I confess, I started writing this yesterday morning after sending that GMU! As I finished writing on Ephesians 2:8,9, my mind went directly to Galatians 2:20 as my response to the goodness and grace of God, freely given to me, yet costing Him everything. It focused my attention on “what’s next” after I understand God’s grace?
My response from Galatians:
Yesterday- “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith.”
Today- “I now live my live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
Yesterday- No boasting, I didn’t do anything to deserve it.
Today- Christ lives in me, my old “want to boast about something” self is swallowed up in Him.
And verse 21 reminds me that “I cannot set aside this grace from God,” because if there was any other way to find complete assurance in Him then, “Christ died for nothing.”
Free gift to me, that cost Him everything. So, freely I choose to give my life to Him, and live my life in Him, for Him, and because of Him.
Have a great day grasping more fully the importance and value of God’s grace,
Pastor Rich
Quote for the day: “Don’t wait for someone else to be nice first. Just be nice.”
