”The heavens declare the glory of God…” Psalm 19:1
Yesterday morning I went out for my walk. It was dark and cloudy. I started to recite Psalm 19 (see my text for today) and I stopped, as I often do and talk with God. I said, “We’ll I guess not this morning are “the heavens declaring Your glory. It’s all cloudy!” I finished my walk and did as I do every morning, sit on my back porch swing and ponder my next GMU. As I sat there the sun was coming up and I experienced the picture below:
My conclusion—I can’t have that beauty in a sunrise without the clouds! There’s GOT to be a lesson in there somewhere! I remember, years ago, meeting Ellen White’s granddaughter at a nursing home in Colorado. As she talked with us I think I will always remember one of her illustrations. She said, “Grandma used to say, ‘Above the clouds the sun is always there. I just have to be patient because I know it will be back again. I may not be able to see it now but I know it’s still there. So is Jesus always there. Sometimes the clouds of life get in the way, but keep looking up, He’s always there.”
Have a great last day of exams! Travel safely and enjoy a MUCH deserved rest. Thanks for hanging in there so well during this pandemic. You guys were awesome.
Blessings during this holiday season. May it be filled with family if possible and with Christ for sure!
See you all again in 48 days!!

Quote for the day: “Grace is the face that love wears when it meets imperfection.” Joseph R. Cooke
PS Here’s an idea to maybe help keep you going spiritually during break. Beginning December 1 read one chapter each day from the book of Luke. There are 24 chapters so you’ll finish on Christmas eve. Then when you wake up the next morning you’ll know Who and why we are celebrating!!
