Good morning, Beautiful People!
God's grace has woken us up to a new day, to a new chapter. For me, this chapter in life is entitled "Wholehearted Pursuit." Coincidently, that is the spiritual focus for this year. Wholehearted pursuit paints a picture of commitment and love on the canvas of life. When I think of commitment and love, I think about Jesus, my Friend, and Savior. From day one, He pursued me. FROM DAY ONE! I'm talking about even before I was born. So let me ask you a question. What can you give to a relationship when you haven't even grasped your first breath of life? We live in a peculiar time where relationships are centered on self-gratification, "What can you give me?"
The old "give and take;" however, Christ's pursuit of our hearts is different. When we had nothing to give, He extended His hand of grace and love. Check this out, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations" (Jeremiah 1:5). Not only did God wholeheartedly pursue us, but He also had a unique plan that would radically change the world through us. The God we serve freely offers acceptance and affirmation. Maybe this is the first time you have heard this before or the hundredth, but I will say it regardless, God wants you. God wants you, all of you. Sit in that today. Rest in the realization that the God of the universe is delighted to call you His.

This Thursday, 8/26, at 10:30 am, at College View Church will be our Academic Convocation, followed by our first Family Worship, 8/27. Family Worship will begin at 7:30 pm underneath the Clocktower.
