“Therefore, encourage each other with these words.”         1 Thessalonians 4:18

After yesterday’s challenge comes today’s hope, all in the same chapter! As the old hymn goes, “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.” And with that hope comes convictions that will change my life, SO THAT, as I wrote about yesterday (and am still thinking about this morning), my calling is to live out those convictions so I can demonstrate to the world that God DOES in fact make a difference in my life. And that difference gives me direction and focus, and purpose. I just can’t emphasize that enough!

So yesterday was a challenge to live like I am a child of God and that I have been called and even set apart for something special by Him. Today I am challenged to encouraging with one simple message—it WILL all be worth it because Jesus is still coming- when HE is ready, which my by understanding is when everyone has had a change to decide what they are going to do with God. Again, from yesterday, that’s part of the reason I live my life “set apart,” SO THAT I can demonstrate to the still unbelieving people of the world that God is worth it! He IS still coming again and we ARE going to live with Him forever. That’s God’s promise that I can go to the bank with!

I am encouraged again today, as my text for this morning says; to live my live as a chosen child of God, remembering that I don’t do it to get chosen but because I AM chosen! And I choose to live that way because I am God’s chosen now and I will continue to be His chosen when He comes to take me to heaven. I am encouraged with yesterday’s challenge and today’s promise.

Have a great day being encourage in God’s promises,

Pastor Rich
