Subject: It's October 17; Good Morning Union Special Sabbath Edition

“This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.”     Psalm 118:24

Here’s what we have to help your rejoicing:

  1. Spend some quiet time with God
  2. Spend some quiet time for yourself
  3. Spend some quality time with friends
  4. Spend some special time in God’s house with His people
  5. “Shabat” (stop) and “Remember” (God made you and He saved you!)
  6. Then respond by doing something good for someone who can’t pay you back!

THAT, my friend, is my Sabbath that I offer to you! And…

The Well- our Young Adult Sabbath School at College View Church will happen at 10:40am BACK IN THE YOUNG ADULT ROOM. Join us for fellowship and praise through God’s word each Sabbath morning.

CVC- 9:15 and noon, each Sabbath morning. Hear lead Pastor Harold Alomia conclude the “You’re In” revival series with a message called, “Identity in Christ.”

V2- sundown vespers @ 6:30pm- V2 happens the 30 minutes that contain sundown so it keeps getting earlier as the daylight gets shorter. This week we’ll be in Woods Auditorium with Elizabeth Burgeson, returned student missionaries from Chuuk. Come hear stories, see pictures, and listen for the Spirit’s promptings.

Here were the prayer request from uGather this week. I encourage you to pick one and pray for it and it’s author today.

Quote for the day:      “Most of the things we need to be most fully alive never come in busyness. They grow in rest.”     ÔÇò Mark Buchanan

And now my blog for this week

"This might be the most amazing data picture you see in a lifetime! It shows the 63,779 cross-references in the Bible.

The white bars along the bottom represent each Bible chapter, Gen. 1 - Rev. 22. The line’s color shows the reference’s distance from the other. A cross-reference is a scripture that references another scripture. Had the Bible been written by one person or at one time this would still be amazing; however, the Bible was written by 40 authors over the span of 1500 years on 3 different continents.

The Bible is complex, diverse, and intricate, and yet it has one unified message: God lovingly is redeeming all who believe!" - John Durham
