Subject: GMU: He loves, so I love!

The beautiful character and nature of Christ are diametrically opposed to our carnal mind and heart. Have you ever wondered why God is relentless towards us, towards you, even though our righteousness amounts to filthy rags? Well, the Israelites probably wondered the same thing, and this was God’s response, “the Lord did not set His affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But it was because the Lord loved you and kept the oath he swore” (Deu. 7:7-8). It humbles me to realize that the God of the universe is invested in me, not because I am the greatest, but simply because of who HE is. HE is faithful love. The God that is pursuing you wholeheartedly is loving and faithful. How then should we live knowing that God so loved us? Well, in the same passage of Deuteronomy, God says, “follow My commandments.” And what are His commands? If we boil them down, they are, love God wholeheartedly and love your neighbor wholeheartedly. God loves so we too can love and be faithful to what God has called us to be—His beloved.

As you go into our community today, give love wholeheartedly—spare nothing. Give love, for the King of the universe so loves you!

Have a great day serving in love!

P.S. See you all at the Clocktower at 8:00 AM! IT'S PROJECT IMPACT DAY!
