“Behold, I will make all things new.”  Revelation 21:5

I’m at the end of my journey through the New Testament this semester and I’ve come to the last day of classes—how convenient!! Next week are exams and I will only be writing a brief psalm of encouragement to our campus so this is the last official GMU of the school year. Thanks for being a part of my spiritual musings each morning. To my non-campus subscribers, have a great summer and I'll see you August 26, God willing!

This piece of the story kind of pulls it all together and is the reason I continue believing in the importance of the story in my life.

I summarize the whole story (the Bible) like this:

            God made it all good

Satan wrecked it and in the process helped make a mess of humanity

Jesus provided everything necessary to change that scenario

I get to choose whose side I’m on

In the end God wins and restores it all to good again

And Revelation 21 is that restoration.

A New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven

            God dwelling with His creation

All death, mourning, crying, and pain are gone forever

            He makes all things new

            And that lasts forever

Any questions? The only variable in the whole story is me! I have to choose. Everything else has already been determined and God wins. It’s my call what to do with those facts.

Have a great day choosing,

Pastor Rich
