Subject: It's April 27; Good Morning Union

Today is brought to you by the letter R

Rejoice in the Lord always; I will say it again, REJOICE.”    Philippians 4:4

And beside “rejoicing” Paul says:

“Let your gentleness be evident to all

Do not be anxious about anything

            Pray about everything

            Do it with thanksgiving”

And the result will NOT be that I get what I want, but that I get His peace. “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” That is a continual reminder to me about the purpose and value of prayer; not to get what I want but to be so connected to Him that I learn to understand and value what He wants. And THAT brings peace!

And in conclusion, Paul adds a verse that is a litmus test to living God’s way. “Whatever is

            True

            Noble

            Right

            Pure

            Lovely

            Admirable

            Excellent, or

            Praiseworthy

Think on these things.”          Philippians 4:8

Have a great day rejoicing in God’s peace and protection,

Pastor Rich

Quote for the Day:     “Embrace today! Embrace the new day! Yesterday is gone forever. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. All we have is now and a great day to look forward to. Today is the day the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad in it!”       ÔÇò Dewayne Owens
