I Trust My Provider

Live by faith. The beauty of the Bible is seen in its revelation of God’s character. That revelation deepens our faith—faith in the character of God. Before the pandemic started, I started saying, “I trust my Provider.” Why? Because God provided empirical evidence to His goodness. Our faith is not based on a set of emotional experiences—it is based on evidence that can be observed, examined, and measured. The most outstanding example of God’s character and faithfulness is Jesus—Emmanuel, God with us! How does Jesus promote the type of faith that persuades us to say, “I trust my Provider,” regardless of what circumstance or situation comes? Well, “Since He did not spare even His own Son but gave Him up for us all, won’t He also give us everything else?” (Romans 8:31). God gave His Son for you. If He was willing to do that, what isn’t He willing to do for you? As a result, you and I can receive the greatest gift in the justification, sanctification, and glorification that Jesus provides. I can trust God’s character because He gave everything for me. I have faith in Jesus because He is genuinely invested in my salvation and redemption. This extraordinary yet straightforward fact changes my perception of life and my perception of others.

Since Jesus gave His life for me and did not hold anything back, I am compelled by His to do the same for my brothers and sisters. Because of Christ, I can treat others the way He treats me. I can trust my Provider, Jesus Christ because He has proved His faithfulness to me by His life, death, and resurrection. I see Jesus in every part of my life because He is intentional. Friends, it has been a rough few weeks; I won’t deny that. All I pray is that we keep our faith in Jesus, our faithful and trustworthy provider.
