“Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord Almighty.”  Zachariah 4:6

I must admit, when I reread what I sent yesterday in GMU it came across to me a bit strong on the “works” side of attaining heaven. Though it is a battle at times and I do need to choose to be “steadfast,” that is, in my opinion, only part of the process of not getting distracted by the other things in life so that I forget or neglect the intentionality that I need in choosing to follow Jesus.

My verse for today came to mind as I was pondering my reread. It was like God was reminding me of HIS place in this whole thing we call the Christian journey. It is NOT my might, nor MY power, but HIS Spirit that carries me through to the end. My steadfastness of yesterday is equally applied to today as I faithfully remember that it is “Not by might, nor by power, but by MY Spirit, says the Lord Almighty.”

Have a great day remembering and focusing your journey on HIM and HIS power through HIS Spirit,

Pastor Rich
