"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." ~ John 16:33

Day 6 Quarantined musings:

Interesting news note last week; with the city of Venice shut down they have noticed that the normally mirky waters of their famous canals have turned clean and clear. And the controlled shut down of major factories in China have caused a 45% decrease in air pollution, a clear and marked difference that was visible from space. We CAN make a difference in our climate. But if my hope is built on nothing less than expecting the whole world to comply with what we KNOW will make a difference, then when the pandemic is over I’m going to be again sadly disappointed because the factories in China, and around the world WILL start up again, and the river traffic of Venice and around the world will return. Though I can impact my world for good I’m afraid I cannot totally and permanently change it for good because there are too many moving parts that have to cooperate. My hope is not built on saving the planet, though I will continue to do my part; my hope is built on God saving me and everyone else who wants that same salvation assurance. And that assurance that He IS in control and He does win in the end keeps me both hopeful and responsible.

Have a great day focusing on the best source of hope,

Pastor Rich
