Subject: It's April 10; Good Morning Union

Today is brought to you by the letter D

Delight yourselves in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4

Do not let this book of the law depart from your mouth. Meditate on it day and night, being careful to do all that is written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”         Joshua 1:8

Whenever I quote that first text I always add “because the desires of your heart will only be that which delights the Lord.” I pretty much have a blank check to do anything when I am focused on delighting the Lord, because I have accessible to me anything, that will bring delight to Him. So I guess the converse might also be true- If I’m NOT getting the desires of my heart, maybe I need to reassess those desires to be sure I am desiring that which pleases the Lord!

And, if I want to be “prosperous and successful” according to God’s definition of those two words, then as He told Joshua, I think He tells me too—

  1. “Don’t let this book of the law depart from your mouth
  2. Meditate on it day and night
  3. Be careful to do all that is written in it.”

Have a great and delightfully Divinely directed day with Him,

Pastor Rich

Quote for the day:      “When life is not a bed of roses, remember who wore the thorns.” As we celebrate this Easter weekend remember, today symbolizes the day “Jesus paid it all” and wore that crown of thorns so I don’t have to. Thank you Jesus.
