Subject: It's May 1; Good Morning Union

Today is brought to you by the letter “V”

Verily verily I say to you everyone who believes in Me has everlasting life.”       John 6:47

Whenever I quote this verse back to God I always add the word “Wayne” right after 47. Wayne was my brother who died of a brain tumor and who came back to Jesus a couple months before his death. After 30+ years as an atheist, when he had to face the reality of his mortality, he asked me to tell him more about this God I believed in. We were visiting him and it came out of the blue. I had spent (wasted) many hours arguing and debating him to no avail. I decided that I would just love my brother and give him the same freedom of choice I accept for myself. When His question opened an opportunity for me to share Jesus with him his conclusion was, “I think you’re right. There must me more to life than just this life.” He gave his heart to God and died a few months later. He was born in 1947, thus the verse reminds me that my brother’s salvation is secure in Jesus. “EVERYONE who believes in Me has everlasting life,” is the promise and I believe God meant what He said. I look forward to seeing my brother again when Jesus comes

Have a great and assured day that your believing WILL result in your salvation,

Pastor Rich

Quote for the day:      “The role of a leader is not to come up with all the great ideas. The role of a leader is to create an environment in which great ideas can happen.”
