Today is brought to you by the letter K
“You will KEEP him in perfect peace whose mind is steadfast on you because he trusts You. Trust in the Lord, for the Lord, the Lord God, is a Rock eternal.” Isaiah 26:3,4
Ok, YOU find a promise text that begins with “K!” Or any verse for that matter! I really like this verse because it defines process so clearly. Remember my old adage- If it’s important to God, it’s clear in His word! Well, if I want “perfect peace,” which would be a great quality to be filled with in these times, then I need to learn how to “trust God.” And I do this by having a “steadfast mind,” or a mind that is fixed on God. I am reminded of Psalm 86:11 as I’m writing this, “Teach me your ways O Lord and I will walk in Your truth. Give me an undivided heart that I may honor Your name.” An “undivided heart” stands out as the distinguishing quality that will “honor God.” So if a “steadfast mind” produces “perfect peace,” and an “undivided heart” “honors God,” then it would seem clear that it would be good to spend this Sabbath being attentive to whatever would focus my heart and my mind on Him. This would provide perfect peace which would honor God because that's what He wants for all of us!
