“Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart…” Proverbs 3:5,6
If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you a million times--- NEVER use superlatives--- NEVER!!
Unless of course you’re referencing the power of God or the ideal He holds up before you as you connect with Him!
Here’s my dyslexia coming through- I like to read this verse, and others like it, backward! The ending promise is that “He WILL direct my paths.” Or as another version says, “He will make straight paths before me.” Either way, in the challenges life thrusts on me sometimes, and the uncertainty of so much of this journey, I like the promise that I can have a “straight and well-directed path.” That’s the promise; what’s the process that will produce that product?
It’s three-fold according to dad’s special text:
“And He WILL direct my path!”
I summarize the criteria so I can remember and apply it more easily—Trust God; not myself; and admit it, internally and publicly! That’s it! Pretty clear, pretty straightforward, pretty great promise if I do! I love the clarity of God’s word. If it’s important to God, it’s clear in His word.
Have a great day trusting with ALL your heart,
Pastor Rich
Quote for the day: “The world does not need more prosecuting attorneys for Jesus, it needs more witnesses.”
