Subject: It's April 17; Good Morning Union
Today is brought to you by the letter J
“Judge not that you be not judged, for with the judgement you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get.” Matthew 7:1,2
“Just and true are your ways, King of the ages.” Revelation 15:3
The promise in the first verse is in the assurance that what I give I will get. It is not mine to judge; that’s God’s job. My job is to love. I’d be a terrible judge anyway because I don’t see everything there is to see, much less understand the heart of all those whom I’m trying to judge. God knows what He’s doing, as I’ll discover when I get to heaven and sing the “song of Moses and the Lamb,” which contains my second verse. When it’s all over I’ll see that God has been right all along. I just need to remember that now SO THAT life can go better and I can focus on what God has called me to do—demonstrate the effect of a live filled with Jesus.
Even in this pandemic, I can waste my emotional and spiritual energy condemning and criticizing the cause or the response of those who are trying to fix something we've never been through before, or those who don't seem to be taking it seriously enough. We're all in this together but I need to be personally responsible for my attitude and actions. Maybe a little humor will help
Do not call the police on suspicious people in your neighborhood! Those are your neighbors without makeup and hair extensions!
Day 7 at home and the dog is looking at me like, "See? This is why I chew the furniture!"
Does anyone know if we can take showers yet or should we just keep washing our hands???
I never thought the comment, "I wouldn't touch him/her with a 6 foot pole" would become a national policy, but here we are!
Me: Alexa what's the weather this weekend?
Alexa: It doesn't matter... you're not going anywhere anyway.
Don't forget to laugh, and
Have a great day keep focused on God’s priorities for you,
Pastor Rich
Quote for the day: “Remember… You’re not stuck at home, you’re safe at home… and just like that, God carried you and your family through another week. That’s enough reason to praise Him! Thank you Lord, for everything you’ve done.”
