“… for great is the Holy One of Israel.”          Isaiah 12:4-6

Prophet Isaiah seems to be trying to get God’s people to focus. They got distracted so easily! Distracted by Baal, idolatry, immorality, selfishness, and so many other things. The prophet wrote and challenged them to redirect their thinking and their actions in 7 action steps:

  1. Give thanks to the Lord
  2. Call on His name
  3. Make known among the nations what He has done
  4. Proclaim that His name is exalted
  5. Sing to the Lord for He has done glorious things, let this be known to all the world
  6. Shout aloud
  7. Sing for Joy

For GREAT is the Holy One of Israel among you!”

He IS great and He IS worthy, not only of my praise but of my focus on letting everyone know that He can be just that great and worthy to them too. Use words if necessary but somehow today, “Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name. Make know among the nations what He has done. Proclaim that His name is exalted. Sing to the Lord for He has done glorious things; let this be know to all the world. Shout aloud; sing for joy; for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.”

Have a great day proclaiming with your life,

Pastor Rich

Quote for the day:      “In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe.” From a post yesterday from Christopher Heard- not sure where he got it so I’m giving him credit!!

PS        Join us tonight in the church sanctuary for our Family Worship @ 7:30 as Pastor Marcus continues his story of Elijah and facing the challenges of life. Don’t forget to wear your masks and physical distance. The church has asked for no more than 3-4 in a row so we can still be 6 feet apart. Thanks, see you tonight.

PPS      Because we have found it increasingly difficult to coordinate with the 65+ sites that we would work at for Project Impact in a way that would maintain our commitment to you to do everything we can to keep you and our campus safe and COVID-free, President’s Council decided that it would be in the best interest of all of us if we postpone our 40th annual Project Impact day to next fall. There will still be no classes that day, September 10, so students you will now have a catch up day in both September AND October. Thanks for your patience and wonderful cooperative spirit as we navigate these unknown pandemic waters. Mark your long range calendars for September 9, 2021!!
