Campus family,
Our county has seen an increase in cases and hospitalizations over the past month, so our county health department has announced another extension of the mask mandate.
Please continue to pray for Union Market employee Marirose Force and the family member of one of our students as they both are still in the hospital battling COVID.
We have less than three weeks left in the school year. So even though masks are tiring, let’s work together to keep each other safe for the rest of the semester so we can enjoy a well-deserved holiday break.
Lincoln mask mandate extended through December 23
Union will comply with the newest Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department directed health measure announced last week and extend our mask mandate indoors through December 23. Our plan is to follow the county directed health measures and then lift the mandate on campus when the county does.
Our current exceptions still apply. You don’t have to wear a mask indoors in these situations:
- In your residence hall room or alone in your office
- While eating at a table in Union Market
- While actively exercising or in the pool at Larson Lifestyle Center
- If vaccinated and participating on the court in a Warrior official practice or game
- If vaccinated and participating in certain indoor club or SA events while eating
What if I get sick?
If you aren’t feeling well, please stay in your room or at home and contact Virtual Care either on the mobile app or at ucollege.edu/virtualcare. You’ll have a telehealth appointment to determine if you need to be tested for COVID and let you know what to do next. If you have additional questions, contact Campus Health at campushealth@ucollege.edu.
Employees, please stay home from work and contact Lisa Forbes in the HR office.
If you need to upload a test result, please do it here.
Expanded COVID testing available on campus
The campus COVID testing center in Rees Hall (across from Campus Health) will continue extended hours from now until Christmas break.
