Campus family,
I come to you with good news on the COVID front. This week the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department moved their COVID risk dial to green, which means Lincoln is now at low risk for the spread of COVID.
While we all still need to be vigilant about quarantining, reporting symptoms (at ucollege.edu/health) and getting tested when feeling sick, the COVID team has recommended that we relax a few more campus policies.
No testing requirements for travel—Union will no longer require any testing before or after school-sponsored trips.
No on-campus COVID testing—Campus Health will no longer offer on-campus COVID testing. There are still several options nearby if you need to be tested.
No public COVID case reporting—Union will no longer report the daily number of cases on campus at ucollege.edu/covid
We don’t know what the future may hold and other COVID variants may cause us to make adjustments down the road. But each of you have played a significant role in helping us safely and successfully complete this school year. Thank you for being a valued part of the Union family.
If you have questions or suggestions, please visit ucollege.edu/covid or email covid@ucollege.edu
Blessings to you,
Vinita Sauder
