The Nebraska Occupational Therapy Association will be hosting a continuing education event on Tuesday, January 21 at Union College in Lincoln.

Title: Professional Issues: A Review of Current Challenges, Their Background, and Related Association Actions

Description: Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about current issues impacting occupational therapy practice in Nebraska including changes to authorization processes, payment delays, reimbursement challenges, and challenges to scope of practice. Attendees will hear about the background information related to these professional issues, what NOTA has been doing to address them, and what they as a practitioner can do to ensure OT remains viable, relevant, and reimbursed in the State.

Speakers: Melissa Kimmerling, EdD, MOT, OTR/L, NOTA VP of Policy & Advocacy & Mary Walsh- Sterup, OTR/L, CHT

Location: Union College 3800 South 48th St. Lincoln. Enter from Prescott Street. There is a black awning that will indicate entrance to the OT Department.

Time: 5:45-6:00 p.m. Networking and Refreshment, 6:00-7:00 p.m: CEU Presentation

Cost: $5 for NOTA Members, $10 for Non-Members
