Good morning and Happy Sabbath. Here’s what’s happening today for your Sabbath blessings:
“The Well,” aka Sabbath School, meets at 10:40 in the Young Adult Room in the church. Join us for food, fellowship, worship and praise.
IRR Sabbath School is up and running again so, no matter if you are an IRR major or not, you are welcome to join the group in the gear room at 10:40 for this time of fellowship.
CVC- two services, 9:15 and Noon. This week our lead pastor, Harold Alomia, will be speaking
SOS- A Sanctuary for Conversation: What happens to people who are LGBT+ in the Adventist Church? Can we create safe spaces for positive, healing, informed, and authentic conversation? Join the College View Church on Sept. 8 from 2:31 to 5:58 p.m. in Heartland Hall for a workshop that uses active learning activities to enable local churches to listen deeply and speak thoughtfully. Chris Blake, author of “Searching for a God to Love” and “Reinvent Your Sabbath School”, will facilitate. Space is limited. RSVP at http://bit.ly/SanctuaryForConversation
V2- @ 7:30. 30 minutes of singing and sharing by one of your peers as we close the Sabbath. This week it’s going to be a special musical program so we’re moving it to Woods Auditorium.
Many of our students choose to go to CVC, partially out of convenience and partially because it’s a great church family. If its size challenges you then I’ve listed the links for the seven Adventist churches in the Lincoln area. It’s not important WHERE you go; it’s important THAT you go so you can maintain that solid and supportive foundation for your life.

Quote for the day: “I used to eat all natural foods until I heard about people dying of natural causes. Now I eat stuff with preservatives in it so I can live longer!”
Now, my email of the week:
Life is a Theater...Invite Your Audience Carefully
Not everyone is healthy enough to have a front row seat in our lives. There are some people in your life that need to be loved from a DISTANCE.
It's amazing what you can accomplish when you let go of, or at least minimize your time with draining, negative, incompatible, not going anywhere relationships or friendships.
Observe the relationships around you. Pay close attention. Which ones lift and which ones lower? Which ones encourage and which ones discourage? Which ones are on a path of growth uphill and which ones are going downhill?
When you leave certain people, do you feel better or feel worse? Which ones always have drama or don't really understand, know or appreciate you?
The more you seek quality, respect, growth, peace of mind, love and truth around you...the easier it will become for you to decide who gets to sit in the front row and who should be moved to the balcony of your life.
Remember that the people we hang with will have an impact on both our lives and our outlook.
And so, we must be careful to choose the people we hang out with, as well as the information with which we feed our minds.
We should not share our dreams with negative people, nor feed our dreams with negative thoughts.
Who's in your front row?
