My Beautiful Friends,
I've started reading Scripture using a rhythm called BREAD, which is a modern take on Lectio Divina (divine reading), a spiritual practice of meeting God through His word. As I allow Scripture to read my soul, heart, and mind, I am amazed by God's grace. His saving grace is exquisite. Look at this profound statement by the Apostle Paul, "therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand." By Christ's atoning and substitutionary atonement, we have peace with God! Think about that today: I have peace with God through Jesus. My friends, how delightful to know that I am at peace with God, and He is at peace with me. By our faith in Jesus Christ, we stand in grace!
This grace empowers us to live a life that Heaven's smiles on. This grace lets us experience divine love, peace, and joy. This grace frees us from the burden of sin and self-righteousness, and who can forget self-condemnation? Friends, we stand on grace! Think about it: not only are we saved by grace, but our daily lives are surrounded by God's grace. Our ability to walk, talk, eat, study, think, and breathe is an extension of God's provisional grace. WE STAND ON GRACE. So, how are we to live in light of this beautiful grace? As Scripture continues to guide my thoughts and heart, I have realized that the best way to live in light of God's amazing grace is to show grace to others in radical and compassionate ways. If we stand on grace, we should be people of grace through word and deed. Think of those who have wronged you and ask yourself, "In what way can I show them grace?" I believe that his approach will not only honor God but will help that individual stand on grace as well. Who knows, if we stand on grace and act with grace, we might change the world.
My beautiful friends, stand on grace and show grace.
