Campus family,
The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department has lifted the mask mandate earlier than expected and removed the directed health measure this past weekend. Union will follow suit and no longer require wearing masks indoors on campus. However, please keep these things in mind:
- The CDC and county health officials still recommend wearing a face mask indoors as a good way to slow the spread of viruses and protect our community. Please respect those who choose to wear a mask.
- Some areas of campus—including certain classes—will continue to require facemasks to protect the health of some of our campus family who face greater risk from COVID. To make a request to require masks in your classes for medical reasons, fill out this form at ucollege.edu/health
- Please be sure to stay at home (or in your room) and report your symptoms if you feel sick.
Testing center hours reduced
Due to smaller demand, the on-campus COVID testing center will reduce the number of hours they are open starting this week. Here are the new hours:
- Tuesday and Thursday - 10:00-10:30 a.m.
Please join me in praying that we continue to see positive trends in the pandemic and we can continue to take steps to safely return to “normal.”
If you have questions, please visit ucollege.edu/covid or email covid@ucollege.edu
Blessings to you,
Vinita Sauder
